The Sociable Kitchen®
We are living in busy times, and families don’t always have much time to spend together. In response to this, Kvik has introduced the Sociable Kitchen®, which is a large, inviting communal area for the family, with plenty of room to meet, have fun, cook lovely food and eat together. The Sociable Kitchen® works just as well on weekdays, when everything needs to be done quickly and efficiently, as it does at the weekend when there is more time to enjoy cooking. The focal point in the kitchen set-up is the work island. This is in the centre of the room, so that more than one person can work and prepare meals at the same time.
Sociable Kitchen® with half island.
You can arrange your Sociable Kitchen® with a half island and have the appliances built into one wall. This arrangement reflects a traditional kitchen arrangement, but makes it easier to talk to people while you cook.
L-shaped Sociable Kitchen®.
You can arrange your Sociable Kitchen® with a work island in an L-shape. This arrangement works well in large square rooms, and you can have two appliance walls.
Making the Sociable Kitchen® a central axis.
You can arrange your Sociable Kitchen® with an appliance wall located at one end of the room, a work island in the middle of it, with a large dining table as an extension to it. This gives you a neat, simple arrangement with plenty of space and a good overview.
