The fittings emphasise the style

The fittings you choose help to emphasise the style of your bathroom. Choose from the start fittings which match the design and size of your sink. Enhance the look with some lovely soaps and small mirrors, for instance.

1 or 2-handle fittings?

Often it is the design and size in relation to the sink which determine whether you choose fittings with one handle or two. And don't forget that you can use a 1-handle fitting with just one hand, while 2-handle fittings switch between cold and hot water more quickly.

Mirror light

The light by the mirror should look good, but first and foremost, it must function properly as a light. The best solution is to place a lamp at either side of the mirror or let the light come from the wall and out towards you. You should use soft light. It doesn't cast any shadows and is the most comfortable for your eyes.

Optimum room lighting

You get the best light in your whole bathroom by letting daylight mix with a soft light by the mirror and direct light in the rest of the room. Direct light is sharper and produces more contrasts. Remember that the lamps must be approved for use in wet rooms.

Choose the right sink

The sink helps to emphasise the style of your bathroom, but its function is just as important. When you are choosing a sink, think about things like whether you need a large worktop, and if there are several of you needing to use the sink in the morning, there should be space for two sinks.

Create contrasts
Use materials and colours to create contrasts in your bathroom. Keep the room itself bright and inviting, but use dark nuances to create a more personal look.
